Bravado III is a fully refurbished 11 metre (36 ft) luxury Markline 1100 vessel, with twin Volvo Penta 200 hp engines (shaft driven) producing a cruising speed of 20 knots and surveyed for up to 20 people. The minimum fishing charter time is 2 hours, but we would recommend 3 hours or more. For the truly dedicated fisher-person, Bravado III allows you to fish in all weather conditions in total comfort.
For that memorable trout catching experience, you can choose from harling, lead-lining, down-rigging or jigging using top of the range Abu Garcia fishing equipment provided for your use at no extra cost. You can even try your hand at fly-fishing from the boat. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged ready for you to take home or to your favorite restaurant.
You cannot purchase a meal of trout in New Zealand, but most restaurants in Taupo and Turangi will happily cook the trout you catch for you. However, please remember to take your fishing licence with you to the restaurant.
Alternatively, we can arrange to have your trout smoked and vacuum packed for you. This is usually acceptable to most countries customs regulations.
Facilities also include a relaxing, comfortable saloon and upper deck (with television should you wish to use it), a flush toilet and a fully equipped galley.
